Venere 2.5 is a 2.5-way floor standing speaker characterized by its Lyre shape, in homage to past and present Sonus faber models including the flagship Aida. The key elements of this shape are equally functional and aesthetic. The Lyre shaped enclosure ensures structural strength and the control of spurious resonance, ultimately creating a listening experience that is both clear, detailed and extremely dynamic. The front-baffle port and tapered rear profile makes the 2.5 easy to position in the listening environment eliminating unwanted reflection with the rear wall and "chuffing" from the reflex port opening.

This unique 2.5-way design employ both a 7" mid-woofer and a 7" woofer, as well as a 1" fabric dome tweeter designed by Sonus faber. The Model 2.5 has a baffle characterized by curved arch that allows for balanced and rigid support and precise location of the drive units. The inclined baffle facilitates driver alignment to its room positioning making the Model 2.5 room friendly in virtually any domestic environment always delivering an excellent listening experience.

The tempered glass on both the top and base giving the design a sleek and contemporary feel. Adjustable aluminum feet are fitted to the base allowing for both leveling and adjustment of rake.

All the loudspeaker models in the Venere line are identified by their ease of use and placement in the listening environment and for their impressive ability to 'disappear' leaving "just the music". The Model 2.5 is an ideal candidate as main left / right speakers in a home theatre system and is voiced to be used with both the 1.5, Center and Wall allowing for all to be used together in a surround sound system configurations.

Venere by Sonus faber
The role of any loudspeaker is to reproduce an original musical event, making it live again and provide the same emotions we feel when listening to an orchestra, rock band, jazz trio or powerful movie soundtrack. This is why Sonus faber designs speakers as musical instruments, and why we believe great sound depends, to a large extent, on the acoustic chamber - just like a stringed musical instrument.

Technology
The Venere series combines Sonus faber's more than thirty years of speaker design with state- of-the-art computer modeling and critical listening sessions. The loudspeaker's enclosure incorporates precision CNC machined pieces that are assembled, and refined manually. Finally, but no less important, are the internal components. All of the drive units are custom-built by the finest international manufacturers for Sonus faber. The crossovers for the Venere series have been designed using component parts of the highest quality - even the speaker terminals are engineered to provide a secure connection to your speaker cable and guarantee the highest quality signal transfer! This careful selection of materials and strict quality control during production ensures the sound quality, cosmetic appearance and durability of the speaker.

Design
The construction of the acoustic chamber is of great importance to the tonal balance of a loudspeaker. Sonus faber has always been a leader in the development of cabinet shapes and proportions that guarantee exceptional control of internal resonances, driver stability and create an ideal acoustic environment. It was a natural choice that the Venere series to be inspired by the shape of the Lyre. Applied to the form of a speaker, it ensures the absence of parallel internal surfaces, controls air movement inside the cabinet that creates sound that is dynamic, clean, rich in musical detail yet at the same time, highly natural in tone. The successful realization of our sonic requirements and the balance of form and function drove Venere's overall design aesthetic.

The crossover and the driver
Sonus faber is confident that in the end, the best assessment of our design choices is listening with the human ear. This has always been a key principle that has driven the design of our products since the founding of the company. In the research phase, each component is conceived and designed with these criteria in mind. The world's best driver manufacturers craft all Venere drive units to Sonus faber's specific requirements and additional optimizations are carried out during the manufacturing phase providing further enhancements prior to final assembly. Extreme care is taken in the design of the crossover network in an effort to meet our high standards since choices regarding the type of network and component parts combined with the drivers, are fundamental to the sonic performance of the speaker. So while the Venere series is designed using specialized computer software, in the final phase of their development, everything is perfected and reviewed by ear, because the ultimate goal of Sonus faber is to deliver the satisfaction and emotion of music listening.
