A mass loaded design using a thick high-density fiberboard platter and vinyl mat with integrated plinth and motor delivers a high level of performance at a modest price. The table incorporates an inverted ceramic main thrust bearing for lower wow-and-flutter and superior speed accuracy, three-point aluminum cone feet and a decoupled motor mount to greatly reduce noise and vibration. The massive platter is sandwich constructed using medium-density fiberboard optimized for low resonance and speed stability. The RM-6.1 SB includes the Speed Box, which provides one-touch electronic speed regulation between 33 and 45. Precision Swiss bearings with a rigid carbon fiber arm tube provides this tonearm with superior tracking and cartridge control. A brass record clamp is included.
