Crossover Design: The resulting superior driver allows the crossover design to be kept as simple as possible. Because most designers are either unwilling or unable to develop the drivers sufficiently, they are forced to use complicated crossovers that in effect are attempting to “fix” the original problem that began at the driver. Following Sonus faber’s approach of first fully developing a driver, the electrical dividing network of the crossover is kept brilliantly simple. Most models feature an attenuated 1st order design, the simplest and arguably most musical of all crossover types. Remember, the simpler the crossover, the more that amplifiers are allowed to do their job. Simply put, a Sonus might make your amp sound better!
