The
finest Danish drivers, featuring sliced hardened paper
cone drivers for bass, two 7" (180mm) and midrange 6" (150mm)
and natural rubber surrounds, are used to realize ultra-fast reaction
times. A silk dome ring radiator high frequency driver 1" (25mm),
pierced by a copper cap motor assembly, allows for extension to
40kHz. In order to give the best possible impulse response, the
crossover is optimized to permit the maximum amount of signal to
reach the drivers with a minimum of absorption or corruption. All
of these technical features result in an astonishing level of musically
natural transparency. Additionally, the system efficiency that is
achieved allows for a surprisingly broad range of amplifier choices,
as ultimate power is not a prerequisite to achieve ultimate performance.
Like the city it honors, the Cremona series celebrates the spirit
of great artisans in the service of music. Cremona has been honored
with a CES 2002 Design and Engineering award.
